• Always use boards with a protected surface such as Dek Shield and Weather Dek to help avoid board cupping

• Ensure the concrete sub-floor is dry and has a 1000g polythene vapour check taped and sealed directly on the surface of the sub-floor, make sure this is not punctured by concrete nibs etc. The polythene should be taken up behind the skirting boards

• Place a minimum 25mm insulation layer, preferably extruded polystyrene on top of the vapour check ensuring joints do not correspond with the chipboard

• Lay boards directly from the pack. Do not let them pick up moisture prior to laying

• Remember the expansion gaps

• Glue all board edges with a liberal quantity of D3 PVA

• Keep boards as dry and clean as possible during the construction period

• Correct site conditions and product application is vital when fixing floating floors. If wood based flooring is used in hostile conditions distortion may occur.
