Structural Strength and Versatility   11.06.03

New additions to the Le Mans range of heavy duty flooring panels from Puhoswood Limited meet demand for a wide variety of commercial and industrial applications such as mezzanine and suspended flooring systems.

Latest development is new Le Mans Grip, a heavy duty floor combining high strength with an attractive anti slip surface for use in areas where good adhesion is a key safety factor.

Improved fire classification is provided by Le Mans Flam which matches structural strength with a glass scrim reinforced aluminium foil, bonded to the underside of the panel. This meets fire propagation BS476 Part 6 standards with Class 0 surface rating and Part 7 Class 1 rating for surface spread of flame.

Both these additions, together with standard P6 and P7 panels, are manufactured from 80 per cent chestnut wood from managed forests. This makes Le Mans one of the strongest particle boards available and contributes to its reputation as one of Europe’s leading quality brands in heavy duty chipboard.

Manufactured in France by Belipa, Le Mans panels are in standard sizes of 2100, 2400 or 2440 x 600mm. Thicknesses are 30 or 38mm and access squares are also manufactured in 595 – 605 mm squares. All boards comply with BS EN 312 Class2 levels for low formaldehyde. Ultra low formaldehyde Class1 boards may also be specified.

Puhos Board (UK) Limited is the sole supplier of the Le Mans mezzanine range in Britain and has a nationwide network of distributors ensuring ease of ordering, supply, delivery and support. Puhos is recognised as a leading supplier of flooring systems for professionals, in particular through its Weather Dek flooring system which has gained over 30 per cent of the new homes market in three years.
Andy Moore, managing director of Puhoswood says:
“The expansion of the Le Mans range adds significantly to our portfolio of high quality added value flooring systems. Puhos will continue to work with its partner companies to develop, source and supply high performance products which enable construction professionals to enhance their offering to end user customers.”
