A Weather Dek hand wipes and Weather Dek gun cleaning fluid are both available from local stockists.

Q To what standards do Puhos boards conform?

Q What are the maximum joist centres for Puhos panels?
A 18mm maximum 450mm centres - 22mm maximum 600mm centres

Q Can Weather Dek flooring be laid in the rain?
A Not recommended

Q Can Weather Dek flooring be laid if joists are wet or frozen?
A Yes – provided there is no standing water

Q Can house builders tile or carpet directly on to Puhos flooring?
A This is common practice. However, it is not recommended in new build properties and boards should always remain dry to avoid movement and possible damage to the overlay.

Q In floating floor applications, should the vapour barrier be placed above or below the insulation layer?
A Either is common practice. Puhos preference is to place above the insulation to avoid possible membrane damage through direct contact with the concrete floor.

Q Is it necessary to provide perimeter noggins with Puhos flooring?
A Yes. This is an NHBC requirement.

Q Do board joints always need to be supported?
A No. However, any short ends that do not fall on a joist or I-beam flange, regardless of board thickness or joist centres, do require support.

Q What can be done after the wrong thickness of boards has been inadvertently laid over joist centres?
A First preference is to remove boards and replace with correct specification. However, with the approval of NHBC, a plywood overlay can be considered as a solution and can avoid inconvenience to the house owner of relaying the floor.
